We are very proud to announce that we have in this past year already exceeded our percentage agreements with the GFTN / MFTN programme. In fact, we have already achieved our agreed goals 3 years early!

Our environmental mix is now largely FSC, with the balance being either plantation or MTCC / VLO certified timbers.

But we have not stopped there. We are currently undergoing a pre-launch programme to audit and reduce our carbon footprint as well. Physical plants and products will all be audited to establish a baseline, from which we can set annual reduction targets.

We have launched a number of ranges which use water-based finished, in a move away from solvent based oils.

We have even taken the much smaller, but still important, steps of working to reduce our air travel as a group, expanding the use of teleconferencing amongst our global offices, and encouraging customers to do the same.

We are also undergoing a review of all products to see where and how we can reduce packaging and reduce package sizes, to use less material and lower the carbon footprints from shipping.

We are even exploring telecommuting at least several days per week for members of our administration and design teams.

Taken together, we believe all of these steps and initiatives show that we do hold our shared environment in very high respect, and are working hard to reduce our impact on it.
